While I unfortunately can't attest to the autofocus portion of this adapter since my lens doesn't have the capabilities for AF, it has worked excellent for manual focus shooting in helping to control the aperture between my older Sigma lens and Sony a5000 body. Build quality is good and there is a solid connection between the lens and body components with the adapter with no noticeable play.

It works for me
If you consider the price of this adapter it is an unbelievable deal. Now for function. I have a number of Canon EF and EFS lenses. Aperture control and exposure works as it should on all lenses. Auto focus works on the EF lenses but is not always consistent on the EFS lenses. The lenses seem to hunt longer or don’t focus properly. But It’s fine because the NEX 5N and NEX 5T camera has focus peeking and it is very easy to focus manually. This adapter is $100. Less than anything else I found and if you read the reviews for those adapters they are not perfect either. So for $20.00, the price of a completely manual adapter which allows no aperture adjustment I can now use all my lenses. The build quality seems very good with lens fit and fit to camera very secure. The tripod foot ... If you consider the price of this adapter it is an unbelievable deal. Now for function. I have a number of Canon EF and EFS lenses. Low-cost, Useful Adapter for Canon EOS on Sony E-mount
Well made, both the Canon EOS lens mount and the Sony E-mount fit properly. The electrical contacts pass the AF signal through so that AF works OK, but only in AF-S on a Sony a6000. There is a little jitter (quick small focus adjustments) with a Canon STM lens like the 40/2.8 on a Sony a6000. On a Sony a6500, the focus locks on quickly without hunting and you can use AF-S or AF-C. For $20, this is remarkable, plus the tripod foot seems strong and secure.Well made, both the Canon EOS lens mount and the Sony E-mount fit properly.
