Cool Tele Mod
I used this 4 position switch in a Telecaster build to allow switching between series and parallel wiring of the two pickups. It's a pretty cool mod. There's not a lot of difference between the two positions tone wise. But the output level is changed so you can get a little extra drive at the flip of the switch instead of messing with the other settings or adding another pedal to the chain. I did have to buy 2 switches, as the first one was damaged. I'm not sure if it arrived that way or if I damaged it when I was soldering the connections. But at least it wasn't a very expensive part to replace.
