I'm new to loopers, but this one was easy to use right out of the box. The extra features, such as 1/2 speed and reverse, are nice, The main function is to record an instrument on-the-fly so that you can play along. It works great for that and that's all I want, so I am satisfied. Others have told me that the earlier loopers have had a 2 second replay of the previous loop. That would be awkward in a live situation. The 720 is only about eight months old at this writing (July 2016) and doesn't have that problem. There is a second foot button that can be used to quickly stop the playback and/or erase the loop. This unit has ten loop memories, two workflow methods, and there's a lot to experiment with. I recommend it for the casual looper, or to someone new to looping. Cheers!

This pedal had some glitches as it would insert random noise artifacts in the loop after it was recorded. If used with other pedals the loop would go off-time. This is a deal breaker so I returned it. I like the idea of dedicated stop button. Wish more loopers would go that route.

This EHX Looper is of very high quality. I have been playing for 30 plus years and i am very fussy with sound. This reproduces your loops to a great quality. Very easy to use. A fantastic tool for live and jamming. I would recommend buying a volume pedal when playing live so you can adjust volume to create dynamics. I will be hanging on to this pedal. I highly recommend this product. I have owned TC Loopers and they are of the same quality. I love the fact that you can store your loops. A great pedal, buy one you will not regret it.

Pluses: start, overdub, delete overdub, stop loop, delete loop controls are more discrete and easier to use than single button loop pedals. Loop storage memory and loop duration are great. Half speed loop play back and reverse playback are great as well. Loop Duration playback countdown display is also helpful. Many scientists ch features are not available on other loopers or less easily accessible as on this brand and model.

This is my second looper pedal. My first was the TC Electronics Ditto. Not being very techy, I thought that the Ditto's single push-button meant it would be as simple as could be. Turns out this was not the case. You have to hit that single button twice, each time you want to stop the record mode. This was almost impossible, and made my foot work look very clumsy on stage. With the Electro Harmonix 720 you have two dedicated buttons, making it much easier to start and stop your record-mode at the right moment, which is what it's all about when it comes to looping. I also like that this pedal has a lighted number display for storing different loops you might like to keep, as well as the option of running on a nine volt battery. So far, I love this pedal.
