This drill is strong but lacks a removable battery (as I found out after purchase...). It also requires you to set it on it's side while charging. It was not as powerful as a similar sized makita (TD090D). The drill would be 5 stars if it held a charge longer (no more than 45 minutes during a hanging of an LCD monitor holder into drywall/wood). The drill did have an great indicator of the battery life, and was green right off the charger but turned orange almost immediately for me during the work. I used 4 different drills for this job. This drill performed the worst out of all of them, and all were battery-powered.

When you order a cordless drill it MUST be accompanied by the MEANS TO CHARGE IT. The drill I ordered is of NO VALUE because it is OT POSSIBLE TO USE IT.

Really a wonderful drill and will actually sink 3" screws into wood, if called for. It's small and I bought it for my RC plane hobby but it's my go-to drill for most small chores. I have two large drills in my shop that only get used when I need really heavy-duty help and don't want to run the battery down. I have two, by the way.

For its size and weight it has enough torque for most projrcts without the bulk and weight of a full size cordless. Thevariable speed trigger gives you the right amount of control to use as a screw driver. For the price it is hard to beat.

If you're looking for a small cordless drill, this Ryobi is solid, quick and of great quality. I bought two of them and I'm happy with the design, portability, handling and price.
