The trimmer comes with a bump head and another head in which you have to use plastic type aero blades. I do not prefer bump heads or plastic blades. I put another head on it. Works great, just beware if you are not a bump head user

You might want to look for a different brand. This is my third...yes third trimmer. The only reason I keep buying them is become we're invested in the "system" with all the attachments. Its a generic motor that they slap different brand names on. My previous 2 have both thrown a rod..and yes I change the oil and check it periodically. Carburetors have to be replaced every year (not Troybilts fault) due to the ethanol eating the internal seals. These have a problem with bogging under full throttle. When they work..they work great. Tons of power and a lot of great attachments. If you can pick one up on sale its a pretty good deal. You'll get a couple of years out of it. Just keep in mind..they have a short life span.

Hard to start, has no choke. Buy the starter for your power drill. Heavy. Has power, but my two stroke has more and is quieter. I went out and bought a Ryobi battery operated weed eater that accepts all of my attachments. I will never go back. No gas and oil to bother with. Plenty of power 40 volts. Starts every time. 30 min run time. So quite. Great. The chain on the pole saw makes more noise than the unit. Amazing. I like it so much that I bought another one for the price of another battery. So now I have two units, two batteries, two chargers. 5 year warranty on units and 3 years on batteries. Just the savings in fuel is well worth price!

So, about 10 years ago I bought the same trimmer in a lesser curved head style. It's performed well all these year so I thought I would do a little upgrade this time with the straight shaft style. Was pleasantly surprised....this thing is both more powerful and heavy duty compared to my older model. We'll see how it holds up....

Easy to set up. Had to prime 2 or 3 times but started after 3 or four pulls. Appears well made and cuts well, have only use ir twice so far.
