Actually real and a price you can't beat. I was skeptical, but pulled the trigger and was amazed by the quality, unused, brand new products. Has helped me finished small project around the house that I really needed tools for. Beats using manual hand tools hands down!! FAST recharging time on the batteries. Will need to get additional batteries so I can swap out less when switching between tools. The lights on drill are a bonus. Lastly, the impact is POWERFUL and LOVE the bag for storage.

Underpowered, especially the recip saw- it always feels like the battery is about to die, I think I can cut faster by hand. It's also heavy and poorly balanced. Circular saw always seems to get stuck because the blade guard causes problems. 1 stupid humongous bag for six tools? Two medium bags would be smarter, safer, and more professional. Haven't used the drill or impact yet, not sure if I want to. Flashlight and charger work fine.

I have always liked Makita for their usability and durability. The price is usually a bit higher than some of the other brands but I have never worn out any Makita tool. I replace batteries and the tools keep going. When I saw this deal I had to jump on it. I have been wanting a cordless circular saw for a while and the reciprocating saw is nice to have too. I have now removed my corded tools from my truck and now just have this kit. The drills are even faster than my old Makita 18v LXTs and the saws work great as well! The circular saw is nice because it allows the blade to coast to a stop. This is a feature that makes the saw more usable as apposed to others that stop the blade immediately when you let off of the trigger. I would recommend this kit to anyone who wants the best of what's available in the cordless market.Read full review

The last time I bought a Makita Dril/Driver combo was about 10 years ago. I am a plumber and used them hard and continuously for work almost every day. They never let me down. They finally gave up the ghost but, I have 4 working 18v. Lithium-Ion batteries. I initially went right to the newest most powerful brushless Makita ads. But what do I do with 4 perfectly good batteries? We all know that battery operated tools are like the computer printer ink: the cost is in replacement , and every upgrade requires new, different batteries. So I found the BIG kit with the circular saw and sawzall and the drill & driver and another flashlite. All for about $50 more than the new brushless drill & driver combo. Its still an upgrade - to me, and now I have 6 - perfectly serviceable batteries that all interchange. Sure, I may have to buy more batteries down the road but I feel way ahead of the game. Happy Plumber.Read full review

My FIL is a carpenter and he has used Makita products for years. We recently worked on a project together where I got hands on with these tools. They were impressive and made my Craftsman stuff look wimpy. When I noticed this set I decided to replace my stuff and I’m glad I did. There are many other accessories that work off the same batteries like the grinder and oscillator tool which I’ll pick up down the road. Makita makes a good product.
