Let me tell you something... I always liked cruiser bikes and this one added a bonus... a solid well made rear rack made for heavy loads... extra bonus... fenders. This cruiser had everything I like about them. A simple 7 gear speed that covered the basics and fenders that seriously helped riding in rainy weather. The extra bonus was the welded in rock solid rack over the rear wheel. This makes for an excellent bike to combine with a E-bike kit. That solid rear rack makes a world of difference as 'any' shifting from 40 plus pounds of batteries on a bike much less stable. That top heavy load of batteries I used couldn't be felt after the rack that is solid and welded on didn't shift a bit as my add on's screws came loose with my tacked on rack. Doesn't seem like much but a welded rack actually makes the batteries actually seem as part of the total bike frame making it much more stable where those bolted on racks just had just enough play that you can and will feel the shift of the 40 plus pounds of batteries shift separately from the bike itself. Not a good thing if you have to buy and attach a heavy duty rack to the bike. O.k., now for the simple simple... I would of like this bike for itself by itself. Rides nice with a simple but solid set of gears with fenders. Converting it into an E-bike... It rides still the same even with a 35 pound front wheel/motor combo and 46 pounds of batteries on it's rear rack?!? I was actually shocked how easy it was to ride and seem to easily go even with the extra hundred pounds on the frame! I'm happily surprised! That welded on rack made a worlds of difference and the basket on the front? Handled one gallon milk without a problem too! Bonuses on bonuses! I can't afford a car living and supporting my living expenses with a minimum wage job. Motorcycle yes, but need to buy cash out of hand to realistically afford. E-bike kit and bike not cheap either but as long as I keep it under 20 mph... it's legal without the much needed driver's ID, insurance and registration... the OTHER expensive part of owning a car, especially the maintenance as the vehicle breaks down. Other downside... batteries never get you as far as gas and are their own weight problem. Plus side if your electric is included as part of your rent... the cost of the batteries is your only throwback. Last set I was down to 22 cents to a mile. Cost of batteries divided by miles traveled. To put as simple as possible, this is an awesome bike to be combined with a e-bike kit! Even with the batteries dead, this bike is still extremely ride-able. Yea, you gonna feel it over long distances but until the batteries die, you wont have that far to go. On level ground your not gonna really notice the EXTRA weight... Falls apart quick with hills though... An uphill travel can and will kill range in half, at least. Travel back though... just cruise down that hill. No motor needed. Simple simple... best bike to combine with an E-bike kit that I found so far. Don't undervalue a welded on rack. The look of this bike wasn't in my favor but the performance with a E-bike kit?!? I'm just a man trying to get to work without showing up as a sweating dosh bag walking into an eight hour shift straight without breaks. Really hate showing up to work with a sweat pasted shirt on already just before work. This also helps in getting groceries too. Hanging grocery bags on the handles with a backpack on too because balance gets a little awkward until you let the electric motor do most of the work for you. You can focus where you are going instead of peddling and shifting your balance and adjusting with your 'load' of groceries on the bike. Especially when your knees are banging and shifting that heavy load throwing the bike off. I have nothing but positives to say about this bike and what I have selected it for and am shock on how well it is working for me. I've gone through my fair share of bikes pushing them through past what they are meant and designed to do and this one holds out the best balance of performance yet durability to take the punishment I'm putting it through. I happy enough with this bike, free shipping isn't going to be a deciding factor next time. This company did have a bike I liked better but it wasn't free-shipping but you know what? I'm definitely going to be a repeat buyer. Some of things I got with the bike were corny but the frame is so solid and I'm so satisfied, those corny add on's make a good laugh on my part. They excelled on the important parts... awesome bike with some laughable add on's. Solid steel frame with solid bike rack and solid front basket that can handle a heavy load too. Then I add my own twist installing a E-bike kit. I can't find anything to really fault them over and now they are my go to people and I'm not even tempted to look elsewhere. Sold me an awesome bike. Given what I paid and what I got... I got luck but keep it close to what I paid... going to only shop here... period. :0 :) ;)...Read full review
