Overall it's an easy to use, compact, lightweight tablet that's starts up easily and you can get started with easily. I got a great deal on this one so buying all the accessories (case, rechargable battery, ect) wouldn't be a huge weight on my wallet. One thing I love is volume buttons are on the face of the tablet. It's easy access for when your child wants to turn it up loud enough for aliens on the moon to hear! Biggest problem is the AA battery life is HORRIBLE. It requires 4 and barely lasts a few hours so I definitely recommend the rechargable batteries for this device because if not you will go broke buying batteries. Another good thing is that you can use other compatible Leapfrog games in this one too. This is great if you have some from a previous device your child no longer uses.Read full review

My older grandchild has one for years and he still loves it. Got another so he and his sister can compete and she loves it too. Easy to use and engaging. Can add or subtract apps as child grows. Apps are not free and proprietary but does not use wifi. Tip: buy rechargeable batteries. Unit burns thru regular batteries because it is used a lot.

My identical twin boys used to fight over their bigger sister's one until I got them their own. Color doesn't matter to them. But learning how to spell, count and read along has helped them immensely.
