This roof rake works quite well when the snow hasn't had a chance to freeze after a rain. The crust is to hard to get through even with a metal one. But for fresh snow it can't be beat for the weight, the length of handle, and the adjustability of handle. One trick that will come in handy is too spray WD40 on the sliding parts for if not when cold the metal sticks and is hard to slide. One other thing if you are not using the entire length leave the small section in the handle and use the larger sections, it will not change the weight and is stronger and will not been.

Like the telescoping handle. That way full length is always with rake when needed but can be collapsed for easier storage. But have to be careful if using with handle fully extended. The further its extended the less sturdy it gets as the upper and center sections are of smaller diameter to fit inside each other. Just have to remember to be easier with it the further you extend handle. My old rake has a 15' handle. Having the 21' handle on this one is nice when needed. Would be nice if blade were taller. Its 6" tall which was the height of all the different ones I looked at before buying this Snow Joe RJ204M model. My old roof rake has a blade 8" tall which I feel works better. But I couldn't seem to find one with a blade that tall. Only had one opportunity to use it this season which was with a heavy, wet snow. The snow would get wedged in the area of the V between the blade and the support braces which clogged the rake. I don't think this would happen when using with light, powdery snow. I never had this problem with my old rake that has braces that are round in section rather than flat like found on this one and are attached to create more room between the brace and blade. Overall it did do the job it was expected to do and I would recommend. Just took some getting used to compared to my old roof rake. ***I don't understand why giving three stars is considered a "critical review". 5 stars is referred to as "awesome sauce!" and 4 stars as "better than expected". I don't feel it did an "awesome job" or performed "better than expected". As I stated above I feel it did the job it was expected to. That's why I gave it 3 stars. Maybe eBay should revise their rating headings? Read full review

everything arrived in good shape, no damage. Easy to assembly except l was missing some of the hardware to assemble it. But l was able to put it together with hardware l had. We will see how well it works once we have had some snow

I use my snow rake to clear snow from solar panels, which are made of glass. The poly blade does not scratch the panels, and the light weight of the rake makes it possible for me to place the rake down gently on the panels, even when fully extended. Strong, sturdy, and light weight. Highly recommended!

Great product! Like the built in adjustment pole no more extra poles. Plastic rake don't damage shingles or gutter screen. Will be buying another one in the future.
