This is fine for a very small garden , one raised bed or potted type plants. Have had it in operation for two weeks and yes the compost is almost ready. The problem is it is of flimsy construction and I do not expect it to last very long. Probably much like most plastic composters. I do keep it in the sun to help speed up the decomposition which I believe will be its demise. For heavy duty use as for most fair size gardens this is not going to be very satisfactory. If I knew what I know now I would not have spent $77.00 dollars on this tumbler. I now have a YOUTUBE barrel, home built tumbler, nearly twice the size for a cost of $30.00. I would only recommend this tumbler for the very small type gardener as in potted plants.

I'm an extremely amateur composter so this may not be the roomiest or most effective large-scale composter available, but it's working great for me. It comes with a very helpful guide on beginning composting and is very easy to put together and start using.

I love my tumbling composter. It was easy to put together, with a little help from my husband. I love the way it is in two sections; one for cooking and one for your next batch of kitchen vegetable waste. Every time I put scraps in, I give it 3 or four turns to mix. It is so much easier than my old bin style composter; no pitch fork required. I highly recommend the Miracle Gro 37 gallon Dual Chamber Tumbling Composter. I don't have a lot of yard waste, so this smaller unit is just right for me.
