The three controls offer pretty good customization for a $20 light. The motion head rotates and swivels up and down, so you get a fairly good range of coverage. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because of the issues with mounting the main unit. The light head itself does not rotate or swivel in any way. So it is going to shine straight ahead from wherever it is mounted. It does have a mounting bracket which holds the light with nice big, easy to adjust thumb screws. BUT... when you remove the bracket to mount it, the little tiny screws fall out. That wouldn't be a big deal, except due to the thoughtless design the screws are almost impossible to place back into where they need to be to grab the thumb screws. It literally took me ten minutes of fiddling with them to get them back into place. When I did, I took some putty and stuck them in place. After that it was no problem, but the design is SO BAD that I had to ding it one star lower than I would have. I have bought several, and if you secure the little screws in place BEFORE unscrewing the mounting bracket, there is no problem. Play-Doh or any stiff goo would work. I use them inside my house, with the 15 foot cable leading to a window for solar charging. Very happy with the performance and adjustability.Read full review

Lights are sturdy, but a couple flaws. 1. The light battery only holds a 3-4 months charge, will never charge up again so they dont work after. We dont get rain, just sun 365 days a year so this should not happen. They need better batteries in them. 2. The solar cell works at about 50% capacity, meaning even with the brightest sun, the light only works for a couple hours even if you charge them before like you suppose to. What happens is, it turns on during the day when it suppose to turn on at night. The sensor detects motion, but should have something inputed to detect night & day. I bought 7 of these & they didnt work as expected. Anyone have luck on other Solar lights that last years.

Wasn't expecting much for $18, but this thing is super bright! I have it 20' up on the side of my house and it lights up the whole driveway/side of my house. The motion detector is super adjustable, and it has a light sensor so it doesn't waste battery juice during the day. You can also set the time the light stays on after no more motion from 10sec to 5~min. The solar panel works great too, keeps it fully charged and shining brightly all night. I can't speak on how long the battery and the rest of it will last but it works great, my friend has one for the last year and it still works! If I needed another one this is the one!

Well made, easy to install, adjustable settings, reasonably priced. Who could ask for more to achieve the night lighting of dark areas. It did its job the first night and has done well since.
