Nice Collection, Too Many Live Tracks

Nice collection of essential tracks from one of the great bands of heavy metal. I would've preferred all studio versions -- four of the 14 songs (Aces High, Phantom of the Opera, Wrathchild and Iron Maiden) are from the "Live After Death" live album. Just the same, a good collection that serves as a nice introduction to the band's classic era.

  • Good collection but missing a few classics

Obviously Iron Maiden has too many headbanging hits from the 80's to include them all on 1 cd. This collection does a good job but there are some glaring ommissions, most notably Flight of Icarus and Reveleations. Personally I would have replaced the 3 live tracks, Children of the Damned and Evil that Men do with Flight of Icarus, Revelations, Still Life, The Prisoner and Deja Vu but hey now I'm just being picky. For a young headbanger that isn't real familiar with classic Maiden, this CD would be good enough to get them hooked.

  • Tired,why bother?

Not a very good sounding CD, seems remastered and not well. Material is the same old thing, nothing special, stuff we have heard countless times in better fidelity. Somewhat strange song list.

  • Great memories, Great songs!!!

Listening to this album reminds me of why I still listen to this band. It had a profound effect on me since I first heard the Somewhere In Time album back in 1986. I never get tired of rocking to this band! It's like my cup of coffee in the morning! Others have come and gone, but these guys are still out there. It's my way of traversing space and time and remembering being 15 years old. Of having life in front of you and not realising the possibilities that lie before you. Well, I chose my path and I've brought Iron Maiden with me for the ride! Up The Irons! Gerard
