Hated by fans and critics alike I was still drawn to this album by a. the artwork, b. the lyrics, and c. the videos I had come across. After several listens I came to this conclusion. The Dylan cover (Lay Lady Lay) leaves much to be desired but I still kind of dig it. The whole album is repetitive and kind of boring but it does retain in a subtle way their industrial side... although the metal is certainly front and center. I don't hate it. I don't love it. It has a place in my collection but I doubt I will play it often. Overall, 3 1/2 Stars.
Discovered this group by accident, actually I found a cd while cleaning up an old house. Had no idea what it would sound like, the title of the one I found was the land of rape and honey, boy was I surprised, then I heard filth pig and here we are.

While many will argue, I have to say that this is quite possibly the best Ministry album of them all.
I feel this album doesn't get the attention it deserves.
