For me, I could listen to Louis Jordan sing the phone book. With his swingin' R & B grooves it's hard not to move to any of his tunes. This project involved Quincy Jones in an attempt to update Jordan's sound. With these arrangements, a guitar has been added and pushed in the mix. Also on this project are several "latin" flavored songs, which must have been the fad back in the day. As much as I love Louis Jordan, these songs didn't go over with me. I'd still listen sing the phone book, just not with a latin beat. This was a great addition to my growing Louis Jordan collection.
