Excellent Quality - Not Easily Moved
This is a great unit! The powerful 2.5 hp motor recycles the unit quickly and quietly to 130 psi. But...It's not exactly "portable." Sure! It has handles and you can lift it - but you might want to use a hand truck to "port" it further than 15 feet. I'm not at all disappointed, however. Other reviews warned readers about the weight. 77 lbs is heavier than I anticipated. This unit is well-built and should be very durable in the long-term. The unit's weight is indicative of it's quality. An excellent application would be to use this in a residential garage (with limited space) because you get (nearly) all the features and performance of a compressor that is much larger. AND you have the added bonus of (near) "portability." Go ahead and buy this compressor! Follow the set-up instructions carefully. It is NOT READY TO USE right out of the box. Pay attention. Very nice compressor
This unit is well built… its quite… runs very efficiently… and will keep up with four nail guns with no problem. I did the break in procedures like the instructions said and the unit runs perfect. Like I said, it’s very quiet on the ears… this unit can be run indoors with no issues what so ever. The only thing I complain about, and it’s not really a complaint, is it is a little on the heavy side. No big deal, just hard to grab it by the handle and move with it… or maybe I need to work out a little more, not sure. But great product, I would buy it again and again.

Great Compressor!!!
It took 16yrs for my old compressor to go. The new Makita big bore Mac2400 is the bomb. Not compensated by Makita or anyone else. This this is great. Took 1 min 14 seconds to get to pressure. Wow!

excellent portable
This machine is very well built, quiet, will be very nice to have where portable air is needed. I will say it is not light weight if weight is an issue plan on a cart of some sort I did not expect it to be that heavy but then it s well built I would take the extra weight for quality built any day.

Like the one at work
Use one of these at work. I like the design, easier to fit in with other tools for transport. It's powerful pump is relatively quiet and has easily accessible controls for adjusting air pressure. A quality tool investment that will be around for a long time.
