Great film that really shines on a 1080p Blu-Ray as opposed to the older DVD release (which I own from back in the day.) The steel book case is really nice, the outer jacket also adds small details to the design which is pretty classy. The Blu-Ray has a really nice copy of the film. The included DVD also has the film as well as a lot of the extras from the 2 Disc collectors edition I bought decades ago now. All in all super satisfied, the dust jacket on mine was a tiny bit scuffed despite being shrink wrapped, but I honesty don't really care.

Metropolis (2001) is a masterpiece of a film, containing breathtaking visuals that showcase incredible imagery, colours, and animation. And there's a yerri, dark story to boot. I loved it when I watched it in the theaters, initially, and I love it still today. Unfortunately, the video transfer on this Blu-ray edition leaves a lot more to be desired, and the Japanese audio track (aka the only ine to ever listen to) is only 2 channel steroe, while the English dub is in 5.1 surround. The steelbox cacse it terrific, too. This is definite worth the purchase, at the end of the day.
