I have used this camera now for a year in all diving conditions, for both widescreen and macro. Here is what I think. First I will get the bad stuff out of the way: The auto focus is slow and sometimes inaccurate (focuses on the wrong thing). it does have an infinite focus mode which makes this a mute point for photos past 2.5 M away, There is no optical zoom. The In-camera colour correction is nott he best (but photos are easily corrected in photoshop). The camera is slow in Raw and Super macro processing 10 things good about this camera: 1/ The Sony 1 " sensor is extremely capable and this camera works well in low light conditions and at depths beyond 40 M 2/ The camera favours low ISO, along with the high resolution, well taken photos are crystal sharp 3/ Full manual control, if that is what you prefer 4/ Large buttons and intuitive to use 5/ 2 Macro modes. The camera uses optical zoom, but because of the high resolution, there is no discernable pixelation. I think the Macro modes work pretty well, although on auto settings you do not get a lot of depth of field 6/ The camera works well with a variety of widescreen wet lenses, and you can buy cheap adapters to use other lenses 7/ This camera is Rugged, and as long as you are careful with the o-ring (like most U/W cameras), it is highly unlikely it will leak. If the housing leaks, the camera is still waterproof 8/ The next competitor nearest to this camera is The Olympus TG-6, which with a housing is more expensive than this. The T-G 6 is a great camera, especially in macro and colour correction, but does does not come close to to image quality and lowlight performance (The Olympus is not particularly good past 15 M) 9/ The battery lasts 3 dives 10/ Although the 1080 video should be a downside, it works incredibly well and seems (to me) comparable to 4K, This may be due to frame rate, but in any case, you can take good video at much smaller file size than 4 K Don't get me wrong, this camera can be hard to use until you understand how to use it to it's best potential, but I own quite a few underwater cameras, including the Olympus TG-6, and I always choose the Sealife DC2000 as first preference *The photos included have been reduced in size to fit this review, all but one were taken with natural light. One was taken at 43 M, and the nudibranch macro shot was taken with the inbuilt flash. There was some corrections made in a photo program Read full review

I'm not against Sealife but I doubt they can really produce DC series as a camera you or I can use. What's difference between DC1400 and DC2000? DC1400 never allows you to take any single photo of moving subject while DC2000 does. Shutter speed has been proved and much faster than DC1400. But!!! That doesn't mean you or I can take good photos. You or I have to wait seconds for DC2000 to save photo in the memory card. Then, camera is ready for next shutter when moving subject has been gone away. So you or I may luckily leave one good shot, or not. I'm not a professional photographer but I can say I'm good enough at this and I like taking photos. I have iPhone 6 with underwater housing and this works 100 times better in terms of camera. Hey guys, iPhone is just a phone with camera, not a camera with phone... It's not personal, but so disappointing... Please Sealife, could you make any good one? Sealife was my first underwater camera when I learned many years ago. Please do not let me down.Read full review

Great underwater camera. I’m not a pro but I’ve gotten some really good photos with the DC2000. I have sea dragon video lights and sea dragon strobes. They help immensely especially at depth of 30-120 feet. I like that the DC2000 has filter settings for green or blue water and snorkel.
