This series does fine on FM/NOAA in avoiding EMI and design caused interference, but for weak AM signals, I can tune to the desired frequency, but internal EMI makes hearing the audio impossible. I have another 2 AAA powered AM/FM digital radio and it has adequate filtering on AM which helps when listening to clear channel and weak AM stations alike. It costs about the same on Amazon as the same series sold here, ($20) the brand is Tomashi and it's their radio model 6107 that I like.

The package was shipped in a bubble mailer, and the inside box was crushed during shipping. However, there was another bubble wrapper inside that box, which protected the radio, which arrived in perfect condition. I’ve tested the radio several times, and every time, FM, and the weather band all come in clearly. My reason for purchase was for the weather band, and it does great. this is going into my vehicle’s emergency kit, with batteries removed and stored separately, just in case.

    Be prepared!!

    Great little radio. REmarkably full sound for such a small radio. Excellent reception. Weather band is key in addition to the critically important AM band. I have one in my camping gear and one in my bug out bag. Runs on cheap and ubiquitous AAA batteries. Don't be caught out without emergency communication gear!
