This really cracks me up - Wow! Thats What I Call Christian Music! Its exactly the same concept as Now Thats What I Call Music except that he 'N' has become a 'W' and the tracks aren't pop songs, they are Christian songs. I look at the title and laugh at the unorginalness of the execs who said "This will be great." But alas, it is apparently great as the Wow CDs sell like hotcakes... and if Christian Music is your gig, Wow claims these are the 31 GREATEST Christian Songs ever: 1. Dive - Steven Curtis Chapman 2. Holy - Nichole Nordeman 3. I Can Only Imagine - MercyMe 4. In Christ Alone - Brian Littrell 5. One Of These Days - FFH 6. Big Enough - Chris Rice 7. Lead Me On - Amy Grant 8. Place In The World - Michael W. Smith 9. Gather At The River - Point Of Grace 10. Redeemer - Nicole C. Mullen 11. Testify To Love - Avalon 12. Awesome God - Rich Mullins 13. I wouldn't say that all of the songs are the "greatest Christian music hits ever". On the second disc I discarded nearly half of the songs. That "Kiss Me" song didn't even sound like a Christian song, but I deleted it before it was half done. There were a lot of great songs for the price.

I own every Wow cd from 1998 to 2006, and I listen to at least one of them every day. some group takes all the songs from the year before and picks the top 30, or 19 or however many they think fit top songs of the year, and put them on what they call the Wow CD. I have them on my Ipod and Computer now, and some of them sound so modern, like Toby Mac, that you can play them when your secular friends come over and they won't be offended, although they there are all kind of genere's of music on these CDs, from Rap to Praise Gospel you would here at a contemperary church on Sunday. this and all other Wow Cd's are Highly recommended by me, and I hope you get yours today!
This collection is a retrospective from the vastly popular Wow series. Wow #1s takes a look at very best songs that were rated number 1. The difference between this cd and those wow cd's that have been released since 1996 is that in order to get on this cd, the song must have been rated #1 and it doesn't matter which year it was released. If you, like me, own all of the Wow cd's, think of this cd like a greatest hits package from an artist that you own all of the albums for - it gives you 2 discs for all of the best music.
