The DCG416 is a huge upgrade from my old DCG411... Feels like a lot more power and also a lot safer due to the added E-clutch which stops the grinder in a 1/10 of a second if it binds... It also has a kickback brake and is Flexvolt battery compatible which enables 50% more power... If you need a grinder, get one... You'll be glad that you did....!

I first tested this with a normal 20v 5ah battery, I liked it but was able to get it to stall without too much effort while cutting a frame of a vehicle. I then put the 60v flex in it and holy cow, it did not stall on me no matter how hard I leaned on it. Used an entire cutting disc in 45 seconds. Obviously you wouldn't do that during normal operation, but it's got the torque. I also really like the braking system these have.

Have only used with 20v battery. The grinder is light weight, balanced well and paddle switch has a good feel. My 18v Ryobi grinder was my favorite and served me well until the day it grew legs.

light weight , easy to control ,but still has power.

Not as powerful as an AC unit but totally meets my needs. The slower RPM actually makes it easier to control the grinding down of wood with the various attachments that I use.
