I loved how this came as a collectors piece inside the clear sleeve! I looked for this at secondhand stores but one season, or even parts of one season, was being sold for way more than necessary, and in dingey/used/old packaging. This packaging is almost velvety and so nice!! Was very pleased with this “presentation”! Btw, the box is a lot bigger than a normal DVD size package so be aware of that! I don’t mind, I just didn’t expect it to be like a foot tall! I watched the show in the past and then just recently again on prime/hbo and I decided I wanted to have my own copy (if I could find something reasonable) bc it is a hard show to come by these days. A Big Disappoint from the Television Version
The HBO version is one step shy of porn, and I actually much preferred the edited version. The full frontal and buttocks version is distracting and rather ruins the story lines. It is much more eloquent to leave a lot to the imagination than to shove it in your face and basically reduce the quality to something far less than I had been seeing on regular TV. I would not have bothered to order this because this really takes so much away from the plot lines. A little was enticing and intriguing. The constant EVERY episode is just trashy. I am having a hard time watching it and am very disappointed. It lost a lot in "translation". And NO. I am not a prude. I enjoyed as much sex as any of the characters did in my real life (all the way from NYC to SF), but I expect quality from a production ... Besides the fact that this series should be the guide to ever single woman struggling with the understanding of the world of dating and relationships... this is a great buy for everyone interested in witty writing and great television. In its genre, Sex and the City achieved something that only a few have had, and that its entertainment with the truth, comedy with heart, and great, great, great shoes! Educated the people about how to be hip, fun and learn how to see life from a different angle. This Special Edition its worth even if you already have some of the individual editions or all of them, of course if you're a great fan of the show... that is because you don't get much more than the original editions once included; it only has one more dvd with interesting facts about the show, a ... Comes with a jewel case to keep it perfect till your grandaughters' grandaughters want to find out what was like to live in New York as a single in the 21st century. Its a great Item... don't get me wrong... if you have the early editions, sell those right here in ebay, and buy yourself the new one, you'll enjoy it everytime you see that sparkling pink decorating your stand.

If you are a guy who values his testosterone. . . DON'T BUY THIS DVD FOR YOUR WOMAN!!! But if you are a closet metrosexual who enjoys romance and drama; by all means, this would be the perfect gift for your lady. I'm personally one of those manly-manbeasts who love sports and beer; however, I'm also a loving boyfriend who likes to make his girlfriend happy. So I bought this set for her as a gesture of love and . . . stuff. I was forced to watch the ENTIRE first season in one sitting! It was horribly gooey and chicky. . . BUT I was totally drawn into it by the 5th episode. Because of my machismo, I refuse to give kudos to this show; however, I will warn all the men who are like me. STAY AWAY FROM IT, MAN!!! IT'S FREAKING ADDICTIVE AND YOUR WOMAN WILL OWN YOU! ... If you are a guy who values his testosterone. . . DON'T BUY THIS DVD FOR YOUR WOMAN!!! Love this product! Sex and the City was one of my favorite shows
Works great, all the features work. The only problem I have is I&apos;ve been watching it on my laptop and the screen goes dark after a few minutes and I have to move the mouse around. That doesn&apos;t happen with any other DVD I&apos;ve watched but it&apos;s not a big deal. Definitely older quality, not a clear picture but it&apos;s not bad. I love the series and I&apos;ve wanted to get this boxed set for a long time, would re-purchase, happy with it.Works great, all the features work.
