Pretty much an average foundation.
I chose to buy this foundation because unlike many other labels, Nars has products for a very light complexion with a yellow-ish undertone. For me, the light shade was probably the best feature of this foundation. Otherwise, I don't think there was anything special about it. The bottle has no pump and it is extremely unpractical. Good medium coverage that you can build up by layering. The finish is quite pretty, a balanced mix of mattifying and natural healthy glow. Putting loose powder on messed it up and made it stick into my pores in an ugly way, although I didn't find that big of a problem because I don't have an oily skin that really needs powder. Putting silocone-y primer under this made it look terrible, which I dislike, because the foundation is not very long lasting. It didn't ...
