I received a pen set that it was broken  really bad communication

The item was not broken. It was a minor scratch. I believe he was looking for a deal because of the scratch.
In terms of communication, I replied to each of his emails within one day. I received the return on 4/15 and processed the refund on 4/16. The refund was not due until 4/17. How is that bad communication?
