This is an amazing offer. Works great and accurate within a couple of degrees of 2 other similar devices I have. Have no idea as too which one is the most accurate and for the small difference no biggie. The only rub is that when you take a reading you get the answer in C not F units....minor inconvenience to push the button to change over. My other units made by different suppliers is that you can preselect and it remembers what scale you want.

    Easy to use and affordable but is it accurate?

    The Helect Infrared Thermometer does exactly what I need it to do, compare temperatures from one cylinder to another cylinder on my BMW Boxer-engine motorcycle. That said, I've used it to check temperatures on other surfaces and, well, let's say I'm skeptical as to the accuracy of the readings. I am a bit surprised that there isn't a way to calibrate this thermometer or to verify its accuracy but, like I wrote earlier, it suits my needs just fine.

    Works well, quick ship, packed well. but....

    Love it. It does what it should. A couple issues I wish were fixed in design: if you put it on F instead of C, it resets to C when you turn it off. Also, worst of all, there is no way to turn off the beep sound when you take a reading. But it works quickly, accurately, and effortlessly.

    I would buy this again, love it.

    It works as well as I had hoped. It is a new toy for the garage, I find myself using it all the time. It is like Christmas morning every time I see it on the bench, just have to check about 100 temps here, there, everywhere.
