My African gray parrot had been in a medium size cage for several years and seemed OK with it. However since she spends most of her time there, it seemed right to expand her real estate. No one ever complains about having too much house, at least until they have to clean it or pay the taxes or upkeep on it. She is so much better in this cage! She can explore around it, perch higher in it, have room for more toys to investigate, enjoy her views and the footprint of this cage in the living room is not much bigger than that of her previous residence. It’s also well conceived, well constructed, and was not difficult to put together, albeit with a bit of help. The manufacturer has been around a long time and that gave me confidence to buy from them again, as the previous cage was made by them also. We have two large friendly cats in the house who are quite capable of climbing, so an exposed perch or play area was not an option. The cage is a tad expensive so although we are pleased with it, it’s value is in its utility and not so much it’s price. Nonetheless I recommend it for medium sized parrots. It’s small for a macaw which should have an enormous cage of at least twice the length and width of this one. Read full review

Ok. This thing is MASSIVE!! We got it for an adopted pigeon who needs more foot space than most birds. We have enough room to adopt more now I guess! When I was researching this cage I saw a bunch of pictures in the reviews but it was difficult to really gauge the size. I’m including in my review a picture of the cage next to my husband who is 6 foot 2!

Got this for my macaw and it’s a nice cage but came with a few dents in it and the bottom grate is bent in quite a few bars, one of the bowls needs to be replaced because it’s got something stuck to the inside of it and I can’t get it out. It might be from the touch up paint that is included with the cage. I have been soaking it for 5 days and no luck getting it out
