So far these non stick grill mats have exceeded my expectations. The Pro's -Non stick surface is excellent. you can slide the meat around easily. Before the KONA grill mats my burgers, chicken, steak all use to to stick to the grill until after the first turn. -Grilled vegetables have a more steamed appearance rather than crispy black burns. -The grill stays clean, only have to wash the mats which takes less 30 seconds. burned charred food and 20 minutes of soaking, the days of black soot are over. -I have a convection grill and my biggest pet peeve was the fat and juices left behind filling the openings, plugging the grill from the flame. I had to soak and scrub the cooked on leftovers which was very messy. The mats took care of that. -The taste is as good if not better. The meat is more moist/juicy never dry. -I use to always grill on the lowest heat setting, with the mats I needed to turn up the gas 1/2 for a similar cooking time frame. -You still get grill marks if that's your thing. I personally I like to cook the meat only the mats and at the end. Remove the mats and throw the juicy meat directly only the grill to seal the juice and flavor in and get the defined grill marks everyone wants.Read full review

A work buddy described cooking on his mat and I was skeptical. But, he actually undersold how good it really is. I had replaced my grates a few months ago and did not cook on them before using my new mat. I've cooked probably 15 times since and my grates still look brand new by using the mat. Plus, the food gets cooked just as thoroughly and quickly as without a mat. and it does leave grill marks. Cleaning the mat after use involves normal washing in the kitchen sink with dish soap and a sponge and if you get a little splatter on the grates while cooking, a little spray of water/ammonia and a paper towel after the grill cools provides quick clean up. I bought the Yoshi copper grill mat. I used it abot 3 times and this one, the KONA I used once. These yp eo mf mats are bestr used on a gas grill. I boght mine mailnly for fish. I have not tried veggies yeat, but I have seen them on video. One of these days I will try it. I cooked fish on medium heat not the lowest. Also the thickness is not advertised and one makes a choice whether to keep it or not. I bought min eabout 8yrs ago and wreck it.

Bought it on a friend's recommendation. He loves it. But I don't like the way it works for grilling on the gas BBQ. I quit using it after about 5 times. I use it as a cutting mat right now.
