I'm very impressed with the picture quality, big improvement over my old 1st gen LED Sharp Aquos. Using it on cable HD box via high quality HDMI cable, live sports, movies, etc., are as good or better as I've seen on friends' other brand TV's. Hard wired via ethernet cable to my router, watching youtube videos, hulu etc., also excellent. Sound quality is so-so, but at least it has two speakers and can be adjusted to give reasonable stereo. I bought it on sale under $700 and consider it a good value.
