I'm a collector of exclusive Pokemon consoles and other such collectibles and honestly this DS is the cutest design I've ever seen/owned. I've owned 4 3DS XLs total and the two 'new' 3DS XLs are the best out of all of the models of the 3DS in my opinion. Obviously I bought this approximately 4 years after it's release but the gameplay and battery life still held up as if it was brand new. However, with this DS and other such collectibles make sure you are aware of non-US versions that while they can play NTSC-U games, usually have different boxes with different packaging, that for a collector can really be a kick to gut if you're not aware.

The foreign label doesn't matter. It's inside of the same region for the USA Nintendo service. I've had no regional problems with this unit at all. The only issue you may ever have is trying to get it fixed if needed after the life of the product from use.
