I've used a rangefinder for years and loved it. Very accurate to the pin. I've moved and switched home courses and my new course is quite hilly. Some shots are to elevated greens where you can't see the flagstick. The Garmin gives readings to front, middle and back of greens. Since I can't hit a ball an exact distance, this info is superior for club selection. My ONLY negative with the Garmin S10 is I now wish I would have spent the money and gotten a better product with more features. Wasn't sure I was going to like a GPS watch as I used the rangefinder for at least 15 years. I have no regrets with the S10 though; easy to use, watch portion has very easy to read numbers and I can even read the month/day without glasses (getting older).

This is a really light and accurate GPS golf watch. Just turn it on and within less than a minute it finds the satellites and will ask to input the course you are at. Easy to read and easy to use. I recommend it to anyone that doesn't need all the bells and whistles or touch screen.
