I usually use distortion from my amp,....I have a lot of distortion pedals, but the MXR Super Badass distortion,...has by far the best sound,....when put in front of the clean channel,.....it will match or surpass distortion of any amp ( I have a super lead, a Rectoverb, a 6505 and an ENGL 20 ) this is the last distortion pedal you'll ever need to buy.
