The cable ends seem to be made of good quality materials but the cable insulation is stiffer than expected. This may pose an issue hooking up in winter. The inlet box is well built painted steel. The plastic inlet cover flips right up out of the way and seems robust enough. The inlet mounting flange is plastic held in place with 3 screws. It should survive reasonable force when pushing the plug in to connect but could break when pulling it out. Even more likely considering fit of plug/inlet is excessively tight. I'll probably just leave mine plugged in.
