Looks: great, aluminum finish, looks kinda premium. Performance: decent, its not a gaming laptop, it will not dissapoint if you use it for school or office work. Screen: great FHD 1080p, matte finish, its not an IPS so viewing angles are not that wide. Brightness is ok. Sound: awesome, clear and bassy sound. Battery: it will last between 9-10hrs.

ASUS E403SA-US21 can be found for $382 NEW and around $300 used. For the price, it's a fairly sleek, good general performer. Storage is soldered on ... so 128 GB can't be upgraded. It does have an SD card slot which could be used to expand storage. Screen resolution is great, but not that bright.

Very good laptop, the build quality could have been better but you get what you pay for. I do recommend buying a external hard drive if you plan to do anymore than simple word documentation and web browsing. If you have any experience with computer hardware also upgrade the ram and if not have a technician look at it.

The monitor for my ASUS VivoBook E403SA cuts out when switching between programs, sometimes into a fully black (but still backlit) screen. It doesn't happen when it is phsically moved, or the lid is opened/closed.I don't have solid evidence of this
