This is my second pair of Keen Targhees and I love them. Hiking boots/shoes are very subjective to each person. There are many hiking shoes that other people love that just don't feel as good to me and visa versa. These are my kind of shoe. I walked part of the Camino de Santiago in France in these boots, and miles and miles all over Mexico. Now, my second pair will be going 660 kilometers on the Camino from Lisbon Portugal to Santiago Spain. My only concern was that my first pair wore out a little sooner than I was expecting, but I've been told by shoe experts at places like REI that this is common for most shoes these days with a lot of miles on them. So, the key is to break them in before a long walk, but don't wear them out either.

This style has been a staple of my activewear wardrobe for years. Hope Keen never discontinues it.

I can always count on Keen. Last year I decided to try a different brand, and wish I didn't waste my money! Targhee is my perfect hiking boot and I'm getting ready to get my 3rd pair. I need wider toe space and they're perfect for me.

Boots are what I wanted except have a very strong cigarette or cigar smell. I’ve been airing them for weeks and still smell. Should have been noted in post.
