Surely the other triple digit smart watches have a little more kick for the buck shelled out, but the Garmin VivoActive watch is everything I need and then some! I was so surprised by the watch that I told my brother about it who immediately went out and bought one for himself due to the drop dead price. He was so pleased that he also bought one for his wife. As a golfer, the yardages are more accurate than my Bushnell range finder and I love all the incorporated features. Along the lines of accuracy, me, my brother and sister-n-law went for a run together and the pace trackers are spot on, can't believe how accurate this watch is. Furthermore, the battery life is amazing, I go several days before having to recharge. I am so pleasantly surprised by this smart watch and can't wait to use it for the time to come!Read full review

All smart watches are a bit of a trade-off. I'm a runner and this watch works really well for me. First, the greatest thing about this watch compared to every other smart watch is the battery life. How Garmin is so, so, FAR ahead of everyone else is completely unbelievable. My friends with Fit Bit's and Apple Watche's and Microsoft Band's get Maybe, Maybe, 1 day worth of battery life. I get about 6 - 9 days of life w/o recharging. Let me say that again, I get about 6 - 9 days of battery life! No, it doesn't give me my heart rate every second, or answer calls, however it notifies me of appointments, emails, weather, calls and texts, which is plenty for me. Yes the software and apps are a bit dated but that's okay for me. The second most incredible thing is the GPS (yes this watch has it buit in so no need to carrry your phone) it recoginizes a GPS signal in about 5 seconds even when I'm traveling. No waiting around for minutes waiting for my watch to acquire the signal. Super thin, easy to read in sunlight and software that is not buggy and is updated regularly. The bad - No heart rate unless you're wearing a heart/wrist strap, the clock function is buried under too many layers, app store is a bit dated and sparse. Sleep function is kinda' useless. Did I mention that it's completely waterproof too? I looked for a "factory reconditioned" model on ebay when I bought mine, and was able to purchase it for about $130. Good luckRead full review

This smartwatch offers a lot of features at a reasonable price. The GPS, step counter, workout options, and a few decent 3rd party apps have proven to be a great combination when paired with the Vivo Connect and MyFitnessPal apps. With battery life of at least a week with over 10 miles of GPS usage, it's tough to beat this smartwatch. The only downside is that the always on screen is a bit difficult to read in low light. Highly recommended.

I bought it just to track my cycling progress, so that was the only feature I was looking for, i got it and then realize it also shows my messages and calls, so this was a happy surprise for me. It's super friendly to configure and use, plus it looks good for everyday wear. I would definitely recommend it.

The features are awesome. The watch takes a few minutes to set up and enjoy. I really like the golf app. I am not a fan of the white band because it makes the watch look a little cheap but the black band was out of stock. None the less, the features of the watch balanced out the things I didn't care about. Great product!
