I would recommend this 902 Black ink cartage for use in the HP printer using the same type cartage. I was somewhat disappointed it would not work in my Brother Printer, but that disappointment was overridden by the fact the Brother cartage is cheaper. FYI: The Brother cartage will not work in the HP printer which is why I had to buy this one. I did buying off Ebay as unlike the value of the same cartage from one of the big Box Computer Stores, it was cheaper. Be aware of the expiration date, I let one go past the expiration date and could not revive it. As for quality, the cardboard and plastic packaging provides the highest security for tampering. The draw back to the quality is the difficulty getting it out of the package. After spending an hour to try and open it I attempted to use it in the package, but the printer would not accept it. After hours of trying to open it I told my preschooler it was a new game cartage and he got it open pronto.TRead full review

I purchased these cyan cartridges but at this very moment, I have not installed into my printer. I still have a cyan cartridge in the machine. However, with HP always messing with updates, the blue cartridge that is in my machine (not the ones I just purchased) does not print blue but the cartridge does get empty, where the ink goes is a mystery to me. I wanted to have replacements to plug into my machine. I'm glad I was able to buy them.
