These were bought to replace similar-looking clear silicone coasters, which kept getting wavier and less stable. I liked the look of them, so I found these and they seemed to be rigid plastic, which would avoid the problem we had with the others. They're very nice-looking--and flat! Which is the best part. They're also wide enough so that large glasses and coffee mugs can fit inside the raised edge. The sleek holder is an excellent bonus. Very happy with this purchase!
