I hate that I wasn't able to purchase this doll via the original sale because Maya Angelou was and continues to be my "shero". I also hated that so many people sought to profit off of others' (who truly wanted the doll) inability to buy her when she was released, too; however, I managed to get her at a fairly reasonable price, and she really is an awesome doll. The attention to detail within her clothing, accessories, face, and backdrop are very impressive. The photos of the doll really cannot capture the beauty of all of the artistry or detailing that are encompassed within her-she was such a sight to behold when I finally received her.
