Barkley: Shut Up and Jam! contains the option for one to four players. You choose from seven different courts in seven different cities, with chain nets and graffiti on the walls. Select a player from fifteen street-slamming All-Stars or be Charles Barkley himself. Barkley: Shut Up and Jam! includes real street ball moves, monster dunks, reverse 360 jams, pushing, shoving--and there are no refs to call those slap on the wrist fouls. Select tournament mode and test your street skills through all the blacktop courts, and if you're good enough, Mr. Barkley is waiting to put you in your place. Barkley: Shut Up and Jam! has stat coverage on two- and three-point shots, jams, steals, block shots, and rebounds. Sir Charles also graces you with digitized commentary.

    Barkley: Spend the extra money for NBA JAM

    Graphics: 3/5 Smooth looking characters, but they do not stand out from each other, plus the ball bounces wherever it wants. Gameplay: 2/5 The ball goes where it wants, especially in mid-air, and the courts are sub-par. Have fun with the rip-off turbo too that doesn’t work. Sound: 2/5 The music could not have a shorter loop that repeats. Replay Value: 1/5 After 5-minutes of play, you’ll want to turn this one off. Overall: 2/5 This game missed the mark at taking a streetball angle when these games were the rage. Shut Up and Jam tries to be a "street ball" version of NBA Jam, but fails badly in comparison. In the era to get the same type of game out with a different title, this game was rushed to the shelves. The game has unrealistic basketball physics, no NBA characters or teams, ...
