I am not much for the newer games and consoles (think NES). I wanted a work out that would be fun. I got this game and did the cardio boxing. It took a little bit to figure the moves out, even with the training. I was very frustrated when the trainer would keep saying try again when I didn't get the more difficult moves right after like five or six times. I wanted to just move on and it wouldn't let me. However once I got the hang of it, it was kinda fun. My husband and I both enjoyed it. The next day though I could hardly move my muscles were so sore and not just my arms. I felt it in my legs, abdomen, and throughout my arms and shoulders. I have yet to try any other than the cardio boxing. The thing that most throws me off is the music. I don't like feeling like im working out to fast-paced elevator music, so I put on my earphones and crank up my favorite beats via ipod. So far I would recommend this as long as you get a fair price on it. No special graphics, etc, pretty simple. I like it, but as I said I also prefer old school NES.Read full review
My daughter and I were looking for exercise but something different. I have bad knees so lunges don't work for me but this game does!!! My daughter fell in love the first time she used it. The weighted gloves make all the difference. Add the board for a whole lot more! I work without the board and my daughter works with. Either way a great workout. Highly recommended!!!!
Great little warm-up exercise game. I wouldn't say It's a total workout. It's good it's enjoyable. I still have to get a grip on my punches. I just can't seem to get it right. Gloves are also great. If you're looking for fun warm-up exercise or for the days when you don't go to the gym then this is really good. My little daughter enjoys it as well.
I really like the concept, but the game just doesn't deliver. The gloves are strictly for smaller hands. The main part of the workout is the boxing, but I have not been able to do the "Bob." I've tried to adjust my timing, a little early, a little late. It doesn't matter. The sensors just don't catch the motion. I know my remote, nunchuck, and balance board all work fine because the Jillian Michael's Fitness Ultimatum works for similar movements. There must be something not right with this game. I want to like it, but this shortcoming is severe.
This is a wonderful workout. The time is worth it. I have done other fitness programs like this, but this one has helped solidify my core very nicely. Others will make your core sore, but this one (if done right) slowly helps you feel solid without that completely strained stomach feeling. It took about a week and my abs pulled tight. They were not a six pack, but my midsection began to pull in and stay there. Finally, The weight gloves work in a similar manner. Your arms do not feel over strained, but they begin to solidify. Tone begins to come back. This program is not over intense, but as you continue with it, you do not burn out. Instead, you grow stronger and feel better.
