I had this game when I was a kid and really liked it. I find that it's easier now to completely obliterate teams and can easily complete an entire season without getting scored on at all. As one of the "special" teams, namely Germany or Canada, my worst score for any game in a season is usually about 20-0. Funny, considering I'm not very good with my goalie. This game is funnest when you play as Japan, since their team is so bad. That way some of the games can be competetive, particularly against USSR (typical score, about 8-4). I like how there is a variety of teams but they all basically have the same strategy, which makes beating them monotonous. All you have to be careful of are their different strengths, like UK's speed or Canada's power and stamina. Otherwise, as long as your sweeper is fast, your defense and offense are in good shape. He can run the ball up to within throwing distance of your general, who can then beat the crap out of the goalie, who is trying to recover the ball. If you're aware of the other teams' weaknesses, such as UK's weak goalie, then you can capitalize on them (can you say "touchdown"?).Read full review
