This is a curious game, but one worth checking out if you're into 16-bit platformers. It's pretty basic stuff, but could have used a little tweaking, mostly when it comes to attacking. Instead of shooting and aiming with say the D-Pad, you have to press the A-button to cycle through the three different directions you're allowed to shoot (up, straight, or down). Seems like a nitpick, but it's tedious, requires you to pay close attention to what you have selected, and relies on fast reflexes should you need to change in a pinch. That's really my main gripe, but again it's not a deal breaker. Overall, it's an interesting and most importantly fun game. Give it a chance.

I would reccommend this game as one of those Sega Genesis games that really didn't get enough credit. This game has good graphics and wonderful music. The game play is a bit tight but once you get used to it, its actually kind of like a Sonic game. This games a bit above average but I would say it deserves a 3.8 out of 5 not the full 4.5 that is marked. Check it out though its a real classic.
TINHEAD is a classic Sega game similar to sonic and it’s a lot of fun challenging at times but enjoyable.

Great graphics, great music, perfect controls, secret areas, and multiple paths through levels puts this game just below the Sonic series in terms of platforming fun. If you have a chance to buy it, and you're a fan of the genre, buy it!
