College Slam, a spinoff from the ever-so-popular NBA Jam, is a great Super NES game to add to your collection. Gameplay (7) This game is pretty fun to play. You can choose one of 45 (somewhere around there) teams to bash other teams out of existence. College Slam features all those dunks from the other games, and all the power-ups, plus some more. Like a whirlwind attack. Also there's a power-up that makes the other team's net go away so that they can't score points! Weird. Anyway, there are four game modes: 1) Head-to-Head Ah, there's nothing much to say about this. You choose a team, the computer randomly chooses a team, then you play the game. 2) Semi-Finals I think you can choose one to four players for this tourney. Whether there's a multi-player hook up involved I dunno. Anyway, choose one team, and play only two games to see who can be College Slam champion. 3) Tournament See, 2). Add two games to that. There you go. 4) Season Matchup This allows you to play a full season of College Slam under initials so that you can keep records. You aren't allowed to use power-ups and such in this mode of play. You play 24 games, and then you, uh, play more games. What? No cool looking ending with the credits? Uh huh, it just says "A new challenge awaits -- GAME OVER" Also, I gave the gameplay a 7 because the CPU utterly CHEATS. It gets jealous when you get ahead by 5 points. It makes it that 5% of your shots go in and 100% of their shots go in. That's pathetic. Graphics (8) The graphics are nicely detailed, good picture faces, and...uh... the ball looks nice, too. Music/Sound (6) The music is very scarace. There's about 3 songs throughout the game. The sounds are kind of realistic but not perfect. Nothing to be ashamed of.. Replay Value (8) This game is strangely addictive. I've only had it for a few days and I've already played the full season (24 games), and then some. You may not be able to put this game down for a few hours. Overall (7) Naw, don't rent it! Funcoland sells it for 79 cents! I can honestly say this. It's the best 79 cents I ever spent. Well, uh, don't get it online. That'll make it $6 instead of less than $1. Try to find a local Funcoland, it's easier. Buy this game, it's a classic.Read full review
Good game. Analogue NBA Jam, only cheaper and slightly inferior to the schedule. The gameplay is exciting.

Seriously fun. So many different versions that have differing pieces. Sega Genesis has music during matches, Saturn has college theme songs, etc. VERY FUN to play in a group
