This was the first game in the Eggerland puzzle series to be released in North America, and though it is primarily based on the Japanese-only, Eggerland: Revival of the Labyrinth, it isn't technically a port since it also boasted remixed levels and with several US-exclusive stages and pieces of art.
First off "Good Graphics" in this case is kinda opinion based. I like it, because I like retro gaming. Second Lolo is a classic and gem of the NES game library. For hours of puzzle solving and the best kind of satisfaction of solving a hard puzzle. Plus the nostalgic factor for me. So yeah.... Definitely worth trying to get your own copy of "The Adventures of Lolo"! The story is, You're Lolo... An egg shaped... Thing. And your girlfriend gets kidnapped! Gotta rescue her! So you go into a castle where you gotta avoid getting squished, drowned, shot, poisoned, and beat up. Using the blocks you push around to trap enemies or use a power to turn them or other objects to an egg briefly and move it to help you, or use twice to remove it altogether. Anyway super fun! And addicting!

"The Adventures of Lolo" (US: 4/20/1989, Europe: 2/21/1991) is the second game in the "Eggerland" series to be released outside of Japan, the first being "Eggerland Mystery" (Japan: 6/28/1985, Europe: 1987). However, "The Adventures of Lolo" simply combines maps from previous Eggerland titles (i.e. "Eggerland," "Eggerland- Departure from Creation," and "Eggerland- Revival of the Labyrinth") and puts them into one 50 map game (10 floors with 5 rooms each). As such, Japanese gamers (and those like myself who have played the Japanese games) will find this game to be a bit on the "easy" side. However, is this necessarily a "bad" thing? I will explain. Hal Labs made this game have a "learning curve" whereby the first few "Levels" (sets of 5 maps) introduce the player to different concepts of the game. Different monsters are introduced as the game goes on, different terrains, different powers, etc. The farther you go, the more difficult the rooms get. While this is true in the Japanese games (i.e. "The Adventures of Lolo" compared to "The Adventures of Lolo 2"), the maps tend to start out at a much higher difficulty level. Arguably, this difficulty curve will make the game a bit more playable for the average gamer. But, some gamers may be able to complete the game in a short period of time (50 stages won't take very long if you are good at solving puzzles). This is certainly a game that I would recommend if you enjoy "puzzlers," and if you enjoy the challenge, I'd definitely recommend working your way up to "The Adventures of Lolo 2" and then to "The Adventures of Lolo 3" (which has 110 stages!). After that, you should try importing some of the Japanese games ("Revival! Eggerland," released in 2000 for the PC, has 194 levels and a "Creation" mode!).Read full review
One of the best puzzle games on the NES. The music is repetitive, but it’s a good tune that you’ll be humming or whistling long after you turn the game off. The puzzles require some out of the box thinking, but are so rewarding once you figure them out.

I bought this game because I played it as a child and always rented it from the video store but never actually owned it, therefore I was never able to beat or finish the game. My husband and I are definitely "video game junkies" with a passion for fun. We bought the game and with eachother's help we were finally able to finish the game that I had started so many years ago. This game is great for those individuals who like to work that very important "muscle" called the brain...it needs to be exercised as well to stay sharp. This game combines the need for strategy as well as skill to conquer the evil devil who kidnaps Princess LaLa. So if you like puzzles, strategy or just a challenge every now and then, this game is for you!
much fun play tha game all,the time it gets more difficult as you clear more levels
