My opinion is slightly clouded as I enjoyed the game when I was younger but it works in an odd way. As the name implies, you wrestle large beasts and defeat your opponents to advance in a tournament. You slowly climb the ladders fighting the beasts available in two player mode. They have a few differences but function similarly. As your wrestler advances he will be able to splice his DNA with that of some of your defeated opponents. This could help or hinder. Effective managing of this can make fights much easier or much harder. The moves aren't hard and their is a certain intuitiveness that comes along as you play the game. There is only a single ring and the colors are drab but this reminds me of the Genesis from what I remember playing. You can also wrestle another player, however, you can't use the beast you start the tournament with as it isn't available for two players. However, it is always worthwhile to challenge a buddy. Give it a shot. Don't let negative reviews keep you away. Go out there and try it, you may just enjoy it as I did many years ago.Read full review
