Bountiful bubble-busting begins anew in this sequel to Bust-A-Move 2: Arcade Edition on PlayStation. New features include bubbles with special powers, an edit mode that lets you create up to 25 puzzles to stump your friends, and eight selectable "characters" with individual attack ratings. As in the original, the object of the game is to clear a screen filled with bubbles before the ceiling collapses.<br><br>Bust-A-Move '99 features six different game types: Arcade, Multiplayer, Challenge, Win Contest, Collection, and Edit. "Arcade" has you choosing one of three difficulty levels, a character, and whether you are competing against yourself, the computer, or a friend. The object is to advance through a specific number of rounds until the game is complete.<br><br>"Multiplayer" has you competing against a friend as you play for points or wins. "Challenge" is a series of five rounds with five stages apiece, in which you'll be graded on both your performance and technique. "Win Contest" tests how many victories you can achieve in a row, while "Collection" offers a selection of 1,020 puzzles. Finally, "Edit Mode" gives you a chance to see how creative you are in designing your own puzzles.

    Addictingly fun

    We used to play this all then time she. The original PlayStation came out just bought the old system to play it and it is just as fun as i remembered! Would highly recommend!!

    Bust A Move' Puzzle TIME FUN! PS1!

    I will never forget when I use to play this in the arcade. When it came on PlayStation 1. I was totally EXCITED!!!! What makes this game even go above and beyond the arcade experience is an editor mode. Where you can actually build your own puzzle levels. Then test and play them as well as see if your friends or family can beat them!! I guess it was called '99 because it came out in the late 90's. You will also note the characters from Bubble Bobble are some of the ones you can pick.. Tatio anima mascots but very memorable...

    Love this game!

    I bought this game because I used to have one of the versions on a Nintendo 64 a long time ago. I still love the game as much now as I did then. I recommend this game when you just want to relax and zone out. It's fun for all ages.

    ps1 game

    I like this game. you can play alone or with someone or against the computer. you can also play the arcade mode. It is a fun game. I decided to buy it because I have played it in the past and it was fun to play.
