Those still hooked on Satellite might be a tad disappointed at first with this cd. But, give it a second listen and you will decide on some favorites. It is still classic P.O.D. but with less subtle radio appeal. There is still a good mix of style, as they handle both the heavy, the melodic, and the slower with skill. Change the World and Revolution are gems. Wildfire does not replace Rock the Party or Southtown from Fundamentals, nor Set It Off from Satellite. The band is still loyal to its roots and in touch with culture. Their lyrics are poignant yet sensitive. They are thought-provoking and encourage the listener to ponder ideals that typically go ignored. This is a band with a social conscience that is truly trying to make a difference, a difference beyond just making money and appeasing the masses. Pretty much anything from P.O.D. is gonna rock with praises to GOD ("I bet you never thought Christians could be so hard core"- Sonny, Snuff The Punk cd). This one is no exception. P.O.D. changes a little bit with each CD they put out, but none of them ever lacks heart and intensity. This installment features the awesome guitar works of Jason Truby, phenominal(though I do miss Marcos). Top tracks: Will You, Execute the sounds. The CD also came with a bonus disk depending on which printing you bought (Playstation 2 disk, Enhanced disk or disk with videos.) I got the PS2 disk (pre Guitar Hero style). A must for P.O.D. fans and those that like a Christian rapcore reggae rock mix. Probably #4 on my Fav P.O.D. cd's. Grade:A
This album was awesome. This is classic P.O.D., even thought it's their fifth album. "Wildfire", "Will You" and "Freedom Fighters" are greats songs. I can't wait to get their next album.
