When it comes to studio monitors, 3.5" is a bit too compact to really reproduce all frequencies accurately, and so that should be understand when purchasing this set, or really any set of speakers of this size in this price range. That said, I find these monitors to be a step above the competition, in terms of overall fullness and fidelity. As a set of primary monitors for critical listening and mixing, I could not recommend these for the reasons mentioned above. As secondary set of monitors for getting different perspectives on a mix, satellites for a surround sound setup, or as multimedia speakers for someone who wants a significant upgrade from laptop speakers or whatever speakers Logitech is pushing these days, I would definitely recommend them. I personally got this particular set as a surround left and right for a 5.1 editing and preliminary mixing (before heading to a proper studio for final mixing) setup, and I've been very pleased with them for that purpose. They also seem to be relatively sturdy as far as build quality, so I wouldn't hesitate to pick up a used or refurbished set to get a good deal - in fact that's what I would suggest you look for first if you're interested in these monitors.Read full review

Even though it says "B-stock" I got a fully functional product that looks brand new. Everything included in the box. You get very clear and detailed sound from these speakers. Bass is there, tight and present. It's impressive the quality you get for the price. If you are willing the set aside 100 dollars more, consider taking a look at the eris 4.5, if my room and budget were a little bigger, I would've definitely gone for that one!

From experience with a wide range of studio monitors: These are performing way above expectations - especially when considering the price and features. Good, safe investment.

Good speakers for the money. I use them for editing music videos and they are a lot more comfortable than wearing headphones, yet I don't lose much detail with the speakers.

The Eris 3.5's absolutely floor it in terms of quality and clarity. I'm in love with them. I've done a lot of work with Yamaha H7's but can't justify the price point in this current economy for a bedroom studio, and these are absolutely comparable to the H5's. I use mogami speaker cables; the highs-mids are crystal clear and the bass is honestly quite generous. If I still worked in a music store, I'd be selling these all day long to people looking for an excellent yet affordable option. ~~~If you're looking through reviews to help make a decision, here's your sign.~~~
