Genuine product. Just installed to my ECX AMP. Original grease that come inside the diff is bit thin so oversteering might be expected. However with high density grease, it can be avoided. So better inspect inner of diff before installation. It fits perfectly in the gear box housing. Yet to bash it to see how strong the metal is, but seems it'll hold heavy abuse under load. Check on bearings if those are in good shape otherwise, it'll lead to teeth strip on wheels. This is a must for brushless!

solid setup...... NOT
I upgraded my ecx amp with a leopard 3300kv brushless motor setup and shredded my stock plastic gears. The new metal gears work great and I expect them to last a long time. Unlike the stock plastic gears you need to put a little lithium grease in the tranny or they make some noise plus it adds to the longevity of the gears. Great product, very happy.......... I wrote this original review about six months ago or maybe a little longer. Since then i have gone through 2 metal gear sets. for some reason the teeth on the differential keep tearing up. The other gears seem fine but unfortunately you can not just buy the differential seperately. Strange thing is i put the original plastic diff. back in just so i could run and it is still in there. Much better than stock
While this gear set is a little heavier than the stock plastic gears, it offers solid reliable performance. The middle stock gear stripped within only a few uses, and these have been a welcomed upgrade for an ECX Amp MT. Honestly, this is what should be shipping inside of the units as stock, since the plastic gears are so weak. Anyway, definitely worth the few bucks.

exactly as described heavy duty metal gear set. i run mine locked on the street at high speed, in dirt and gravel, rough grassy fields everywhere and my truck pushes close to 100 mph. no problems at all works great!

Must have for Brushless upgrade on 2wd ECX
We upgraded the ECX amp to a brushless Castle system. The stock plastic gear set literally stripped in less than 5 minutes. I realize the plastic set keeps the initial cost down,but it will bring the fun to a immediate halt. It's not that big of a deal to swap,but I would do it before or at the same time as a brushless LiPo upgrade.
