It's just as accurate as the Welch Allen expensive oral thermometers. This gives me a temperature in about 2 seconds as opposed to the oral thermometers. Love it, use it in the ER all the time. The simplicity plus how compact this thermometer is makes it a must have in critical care and anywhere else in nursing. Our thermometers that the hospital provides are the temporal swipe thermometers and they don’t work worth a darn. With this thermometer I have caught a few high fevers that the swipe thermometers weren’t close to catching. For all I know this thermometer could’ve saved those patients lives. When looking for a small thermometer I was going to buy the small ADC but for the price it’s not worth it. But the best part was this one is close to the same size and I literally got it for a third of the price. Get one, you won’t regret it!!!
