This is NOT INDUSTRIAL-HEAVY DUTY. It is a light duty plastic, flexible picker that may pick up a can of soup without breaking. It will pick up small objects with ease such as coins, marbles, bolts etc. The hinged shaft seems more for shipping ease than any other use and is a weak point. Get the aluminum picker with the suction cups at Home Depot.

I've depended on "grabbers" for nearly 20 years, and I've been through most of the cheap grabbers. I've only had this one for a week, but I am impressed by the tiny things it will grab. I haven't had to try it on a dime yet - but I bet it would pick that up as well. I'm impressed that the head can be set horizontal or vertical. The handle is very easy to hold and operate, although a person with a very weak grip might not find it so easy. Even my non-dominant hand has no trouble with this whatsoever. I also like the folding feature (which I didn't notice in the ad) because it should be easily put in a walker basket, wheelchair bag, or scooter rack and taken along on an "outing." I think this is a quality product and I highly recommend it!

Love this grabber!!! I find this grabber very useful in picking up small items, as a "senior" crafter I am constantly dropping beads and other small objects.
